Food Technology Programme of Vocational School of Technical Sciences started education in 1992 under the name of Food Quality and Health Control. The Food Technology Programme started to provide education with the equipment of the latest technologies within the scope of II Industrial Education Project realized between the World Bank and Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in 1993. The programme renewed its curriculum with the entry into force of Open Admission Law in 2002. In 2006/2007 academic year, the programme started to provide education under three different options, but these options were abolished in 2009/2010 academic year. Course plans consistent with İKMEP (The Project of Developing Human Sources by means of Vocational Education) were started to be applied.
