Campus Staff Walked for the Environment

The staff of Bursa Uludag University walked for the environment on World Environment Day. The event was organized within the BUU Sustainable Campus Project activities.   

World Environment Day that is being celebrated on June 5 each year, was remembered with the “Walk for Environment” activity by Bursa Uludag University. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz led the walk and accompanied the BUU Sustainable Campus Project team, vice-rectors, university administrators, academicians, and staff. The music band and horses of the university led the way. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz underlined the fact that planet Earth is under pressure, and we as human beings have to think about our adverse impact on the environment and do our best to make a positive contribution. He added that BUU Sustainable Campus Project activities would speed up the environmental efforts by Bursa Uludag University.
