About Department

The purpose of undergraduate program in Management Information Systems (MIS) is to train individuals who possess a sufficient level of expertise in information systems to develop information systems in both public and private sectors, as well as managerial skills to manage these systems effectively. Management Information Systems is essentially an interdisciplinary program. In addition to the courses related to information systems, students are also given courses from the field of social sciences, especially business administration, public administration and law. In addition, students are encouraged to take part in various projects and gain work experience during their education in order to develop information systems suitable for the needs of their institutions after graduation, to use these systems effectively in management, and thus to increase the capabilities and competitiveness of their institutions. Graduates of the program have various job opportunities related to the management and development of information systems for both public and private sectors. Graduates meet the needs in areas such as decision-making systems, software analysis, software development, database management, virtualization, network management, and e-government/e-commerce, where information technologies are used, in both public and private sectors.
