Representatives from the Japan University of Agriculture and Technology, a partner institution under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bursa Uludağ University (BUU), recently visited BUU’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, opening new doors for academic collaboration.

 

Prof. Dr. Ryou Tanaka and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lina Hamabe traveled to Türkiye to participate in the 1st Veterinary Internal Diseases Symposium in Muğla/Marmaris, following an invitation by Prof. Dr. Zeki Yılmaz from BUU’s Department of Internal Medicine. During their visit to the Veterinary Faculty, they met with the Dean and held discussions alongside Prof. Dr. Zeki Yılmaz, Prof. Dr. Hakan Salcı from the Department of Surgery, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. E. Sinem Özdemir Salcı, the faculty’s International Academic Relations Coordinator.

 

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on strengthening ties at both the faculty and university levels. The guests were impressed by BUU’s innovative approach to integrating technology into education and its hands-on training methods.

 

A joint project in cardiological oncology, involving faculty members from both institutions, was highlighted during the discussions. This initiative is expected to further deepen the academic relationship between the two universities. Additionally, it was noted that Prof. Dr. Zeki Yılmaz plans to visit Japan later this year to continue fostering this collaboration.

 

The Japanese academics expressed their appreciation for the visit, emphasizing that such interactions create valuable opportunities for advanced research and stronger partnerships in the academic field.
